DESCRIPTION

The  Bearfoot Family Entertainment Center is located in vibrant Lynn Valley Public Library complex. The 2,472 square feet centre was designed by combining two existing CRU spaces, and includes pre-schooler play area, toddlers/infants play area, a cafe health bar/ lounge, a dividable party room, storage area and an office. BFA and the client established a program with a design goal to provide supervised spaces for children and parents to learn, play and socialize. The choice of calming pastel colors complements the sleek modern materials selection. Every single detail is carefully considered with the ergonomics of young children interacting with their parents in mind, from the reception area to the central curvilinear toddler-adult watching area. The design contributed to the immediate success of the Centre, with initial revenues exceeding the Client’s expectations.
