The firm was established in 1995 as Besharat Friars Architects and earned a reputation for successfully responding to diverse client and community aspirations. In 2018 the practice was re-branded as BFA Studio Architects

The firm's philosophy is based on providing contextual regional design, through a socially conscious and environmentally sensitive approach to the profession of architecture for people and communities. We believe in architecture with a sense of purpose, crafted in layers; a design statement in motion.
